T&Cs for the Sale of goods


These template terms and conditions for the sale of goods are designed to cover the sale of goods to consumers in England and Wales. However, they will not be suitable in all situations.

The sale of goods document includes the following provisions:

  • disclosures of some of the information required to be given under the Ecommerce Regulations and the Distance Selling Regulations;
  • delivery details;
  • price and payment terms;
  • a clause covering risk and title;
  • a clause dealing with consumers' statutory cancellation rights;
  • warranties; and
  • limitations of liability.

Please read the notes accompanying the sale of goods document very carefully. You will of course need to adapt the document to suit your website and business.
