This disclaimer generator can be used to create a simple English law website disclaimer. It may be suitable for use in relation to simple website. Disclaimers produced using this generator will not be suitable (or, at least, will not be sufficient) in relation to ecommerce websites, multimedia websites, social networking websites, other websites that publish user content, websites that need to comply with particular legal regimes (e.g. financial services sites) or indeed any website with advanced or interactive functionality.

The generator consists of a two page online questionnaire. The generator's output is an HTML file, from which you must extract the relevant HTML text, and paste this into the disclaimer page on your website.

Generators make the production of professional-looking legal documents easy. However, you must not assume that, just because you have used a generator, the output of the generator will enable you to comply with your legal obligations. You must check the output thoroughly. If you are in any doubt, you should consult an IT lawyer or other legal expert.
